To care for your concrete bathtub, clean the tub after your bath with pH-neutral soap, liquid cleaner, and water. Use a simple all-green liquid cleaner to wash your bathtub. Avoid concentrated abrasive elements and scrubbing pads, as they can etch the surface and cause deformation. Do not use oil- and vinegar-based cleaners. You can find all-green liquid cleaners at local hardware and online stores.

Concrete bathtubs are extremely durable and will last for years. Avoid dropping heavy objects on the concrete to prevent surface damage, and protect from extreme temperature changes.

The weight of a bathtub varies based on size and material:

  • Acrylic: Typically less than 200 lbs.
  • Cast Iron: Usually less than 400 lbs.
  • Copper: Generally less than 250 lbs.
  • Natural Wood: Normally less than 400 lbs.
  • Resin: Typically less than 400 lbs.

Normally the floor joists are strong enough to carry the weight of a bathtub. If you are installing an exceptionally large bathtub it is recommended you seek the advice of a contractor.

Bathtubs typically range from 48” to 72” in length, with a common size being around 60”.

Bathtubs are a motor freight product and require delivery by a semi trailer. Motor freight deliveries will be a liftgate/curbside service meaning the shipment will be dropped at the edge of the driveway. The driver will not carry the item(s) onto the driveway or anywhere on your property, nor will it be brought inside (this is due to liability).

Bathtubs typically ship within 1-2 business days from the time of the order. Air tubs normally ship within one week. Delivery time will depend on where you are located, but typically shipping time is 1 week or less.
