Accounting Administrative Assistant

Kentucky Home Fashion, a multi title online retailer of high-end kitchen, bath and home products is seeking an experienced Accounting Administrative Assistant to support the management team and assist in the continued growth of the organization


Your Role


The Accounting Administrative Assistant will report to the Partners/Owners and responsibilities will include various accounting and administrative functions to support the goals of the company. This role will also provide general office support with a variety of clerical and marketing support duties. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to prioritize duties while staying organized. Software skills that will be essential are Word, Excel, Outlook and QuickBooks.



  • Accounting functions including Accounts Payables, Receivables, and invoicing. QUICKBOOKS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts.
  • Track outstanding credits from suppliers, freight carriers, etc.
  • Reconciling the vendor statements, tracking credits and chargebacks and handling discrepancies.
  • Supervising the invoice processing, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions. 
  • Work with inbound and outbound freight carriers arranging pick-ups tracking payments and credits
  • Perform data entry consisting of vendor and customer information as well as the accounting transactions, creating Purchase Orders.
  • Assist Marketing team as needed.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, proficient at Excel 
  • Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Administrator or similar role
  • Associates degree in accounting or business administration preferred
  • Strong analytical skills to make business decisions based on data. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and ownership.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintain deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and capable of adapting to quickly changing conditions. 
  • Proven track record and solid references. 
  • Experience in the home improvement or home goods industry is a plus.
