Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Our company, located in Erlanger, KY is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team.  We are looking for an ambitious and hardworking professional who does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on their feet. We prize speed and accuracy and are looking for a Warehouse Associate who takes pride in their work, follows instructions and double-checks their own work. We are an importer of high-quality bathroom, kitchen and home products. We market our products through our two e-commerce companies offering high quality home products to consumers. Job Scope

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Greet and monitor delivery trucks, containers, semi-trailers, etc.

Receive and track shipments

Load/unload merchandise in delivery trucks, containers, semi-trailers, etc. using appropriate tools

Tag and label merchandise

Label and stock incoming product into correct locations on racking and record locations in computer system

Receive orders from Picker and confirm correct products were pulled using Product Manager and Ship Station

Pull, box, wrap and pack merchandise for customer orders in accordance with relevant procedures and standards

Prepare all orders for shipment

Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items

Operate adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift and picker)

Manage inventory levels of warehouse supplies such as pallets, packing material, boxes, etc.

Mechanical ability, able to use simple power tools such as hand drill, saws

Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs

Work with other team members to ensure daily goals are met

Assist in cleaning and maintaining the work area

Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing 80lbs.

 

MISC

Work under minimal supervision with no direct reports.  

Meet regularly with the management team to identify or ascertain problems or challenges.

Efficiently contribute in reaching department’s objectives and company goals through the use of established processes and procedures.

Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. 

Strategic planning/thinking skills, coupled with analytical and execution skills.

Out-of-the-box thinker, decisive; experienced in and capable of leading change.

Good trouble shooting skills.

Good organizational and administrative skills. Detail oriented.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with suppliers and team members.

Perform other duties as necessary.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Valid Driver’s License

Past Forklift Operation Certification will be considered an advantage

Previous experience as a Warehouse Worker for minimum of 2 years

Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs

Mathematical aptitude 

Ability to work with hand tools

Great physical stamina and manual dexterity

Team player

Good organizational and time-management skills

Great interpersonal and communication skills

Problem solver
